It'd be great if there was a REPLY TO THIS POST button for the replies as well. At present, the user has to go all the way back to the top of the page to reply to the whole thread.
Also, do you have any plans to show the structure of the thread, like some message boards do? You already have those neat folder icons for the message topics - it'd be good to be able to expand the folders with a mouse click, to see the topics and messages in the thread.

IMO, of course! ;)

Hi Jeff, thanks for all your feedback....noticed a few persistant bugs on the messageboard - nothing to stop anyone posting or reading...but needs a good look at by myself! While I'm doing this, I'll have a go at that tree-structure view you mentioned....(later today!)

Nice work! Good to see those reply buttons for each message now - much easier to use!

BTW, when a user replies to a message, it'd be nice to see the name of the message that they are replying to, automatically appear in the "Reply Title" form input box. At present, you have to type it in again each time - a tad bit troublesome.

Great to see that this site is moving along! Hope that more publicity will bring more users here.

More on replying to replies...   profile
Umm, another comment and/or suggestion here...
Although now your site will allow users to reply to recent posts by clicking the button next to each one, when you actually do click on "Reply to This Post," the next screen actually shows the very first post in the thread... which is NOT actually the one that the user always wants to reply to.

Can you modify your system so that when the user replies to a post inside of a thread, the reply screen shows the actual post in the thread they are replying to, NOT the first message in the entire thread?

(Did you get that? Whew...)

After several more clicks and poking around...

Ah. It just dawned on me that your site doesn't actually allow users to reply to specific posts in the thread... they MUST reply to the entire thread. Hmmmm, do you have any plans to work on this??? As I mentioned, the user doesn't get the chance to single out a specific message in the thread for reply. (It also seems a little troublesome to have to retype text in the Reply Title box each time, but that's another story... or is it?)

replying to replies - yup!   profile
Jeff,

Yeah totally agree....need to clean this bit up. Maybe show entire thread so you can refer back to any post. Also populate the reply title - yeah. AND, I want to put a "quote" system in that will make a formatted quote for you.....the syntax would be something like
Here's my quote!
and it would look something like this:-

Quote from Andrew:-

Here's my quote!
